What is the recommended age for The Power of YOUth book?

While The Power of YOUth was created with youth in mind, this book is perfect for anyone that loves feel good stories and underdog tales, or for those seeking new inspiration!

It is important for parents to note that The Power of YOUth shares true stories and experiences of young leaders who have endured a variety of struggles including homelessness, poverty, violence and abuse, and mental health issues including depression and bullying. As such, some of the stories may contain mature content that may not be suitable for very young ChangeLeaders. Recommended for ChangeLeaders aged 8+

Is The Power of YOUth only available in English?

While we have many different cultures represented in The Power of YOUth, for our first print the book will only be printed in English. Should there be high demand for a translated version however, this is certainly an option we are open to exploring down the road!

Can I order wholesale?

You sure can! We also offer packages for libraries, schools and youth groups. Please, email us at orders@changegen.com and write “Wholesale order” in the subject line.

Who receives The Power of YOUth donations?

Our top priority is to ensure copies of The Power of YOUth book get into the hands youth who need it most. Specifically, our focus is on youth living in low-income areas with limited access to entrepreneurial resources and reading material.

In addition to working with a variety of our 200 ChangeLeaders from The Power of YOUth book to distribute books through their local channels (which span 59 countries around the world), we have aligned with several international partners to expand our reach even further. Interested partners include Textbooks for Change, Books with No Bounds, World Book Aid, and First Book Canada/First Book U.S.

Keeping with our made for youth by youth vision, several of our donations partners are youth founded organizations! For instance, Textbooks for Change was founded by Chris Janssen when he was in university, and Books with No Bounds was founded by Emma Mogus and her sister when they were only 12 and 13 years old!

Why are international shipping costs so high?

It breaks our heart that we cannot provide lower shipping costs for our international customers.

With the size and weight of each book (especially the Deluxe), and the small size of our operation, shipping is quite expensive.

We are continually working to align with international partners to aid in international distribution. If you know an organization that would be willing to help distribute local orders, we welcome you to please have them contact us.

TIPS TO REDUCE SHIPPING COSTS

  1. Find a Friend – It is more cost efficient to send bulk orders to a central location. If you have family or friends who are also interested in ordering The Power of YOUth book, consider grouping your order for us to send everything to one address.
  2. Refer a Local Library or School – If a local library or school is interested in receiving copies of The Power of YOUth book we can send your order with their delivery. Click here to learn more about our global education offering for schools. 

I have not received my order yet. What should I do?

We’re sorry there is a delay. If your tracking number has not shown any movement for 15 days, please, contact us here and we’ll take care of it (for international orders, please wait 30 days).

NOTE: Order processing begins July 2017. If you placed your order during our preorder period (i.e. before July 2017), please account for this additional time.

Can I add a gift message?

Yes you can! Upon checkout there will be an option for you to add on a gift message and send us your preferred dedication.

What if I need to cancel my order?

You may cancel your order for a full refund within 15 days of your purchase. Orders cannot be canceled once they have been shipped.

What if my order is damaged or not as I expected?

If this occurs (which we try our best to ensure not), we are happy to replace your item.

To receive a replacement book please contact us.

You will need your order number, along with a photo demonstrating the damaged good.

Do you provide refunds?

We can provide a full refund for any orders cancelled within 15 days of the purchase.

If 15 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund as we would have likely already processed your order to be shipped.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

 

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

 

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

 

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at orders@changegen.com with the subject EXCHANGE.

What is your policy regarding taxes and duty?

Most countries do not charge duty on books. However there is a chance that additional charges may incur.


All fees are net of any sales, use, excise, value added and similar taxes imposed by any governmental authority regardless of how denominated; and any international shipping charges, broker’s fees, consular fees and customs duties, which shall be your responsibility.

You will need to pay all such taxes or charges or provide us with a tax or levy exemption certificate acceptable to the taxing or levying authority.
In the event that we are required to pay any taxes or other charges for which you are responsible hereunder, you agree to promptly pay the same to to us upon receipt of our invoice therefore. If, pursuant to local law, you are required to withhold any taxes, duties or other amounts from amounts payable to us, then:
(i) You will promptly notify us; (ii) the amount payable to us will be automatically increased to the full extent required to offset such tax, duty or other amount so that the amount remitted to us, net of all taxes, duties and other like amounts, equals the amount payable to us pursuant to an invoice from us, as applicable.
